TBI by distance to neurosurgeon

This project used Medicare data to identify practicing neurosurgeons by their National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, and used the Google Maps API to geocode each provider’s location (because the practice location info in the NPI files had been unreliable in my experience).

With this snapshot of provider’s location, I examined the association between county level TBI mortality and each counties distance to their nearest neurosurgeon. Posts detailing my methodology can be found below, as can their related publications / presentations.
